Join Historic Albany Foundation and the Pine Hollow Arboretum for an hour long lecture about the life and work of one of Albany's most well known mid century architects: Henry Blatner. Henry's daughter Mary Blatner Valentis will share anecdotes and stories about her father while Laurence Wilson from Mesick Cohen Wilson Baker, Henry Blatner was the progenitor of the firm, will talk about some of Henry's work. The lecture will be followed by a tour of two homes designed by Blatner on Pine Hollow Road in Slingerlands, one of which was his own personal residence and the other is currently used by the Pine Hollow Arboretum as their office and program space.
This workshop is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature
