Never before accessible to the public, HAF is taking limited groups of the people into the third floor of the building to see the Dutch gabled roof up close and personal as it begins its journey back to it's original location in the building. Each week, attendees can see a different phase of the move and part of the roof from both the underside and topside. These tours are happening for a short time and cannot be repeated.
On Thursday, March 27th, attendees will be able to see the gable from the outside, stripped of its layers of asphalt shingle. You also might get to take a peek at the pressed metal siding that clad the front wall of the big middle addition around the gable.
3 time slots-5:30-5:50, 5:50-6:10, and 6:10-6:30
*Please note that all tours are after construction activities have been completed for the day for safety purposes.
Sign up to visit each week or just once. We'll see you there!
These tours are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
