Invitation to Bid

Phase IV, Last Phase of Restoration

Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Phase IV – Rehabilitation of the Van Ostrande-Radliff House project will be received at Historic Albany Foundation, 89 Lexington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206 until 2:00 P.M. local time on Friday, November 8  at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids will be received for the following:

The scope of work of this project consists of the complete renovation of the building, including repairing, resetting, and repointing masonry, restoring and providing new windows, doors, and shutters including frames and hardware, providing heavy timber framing, and providing new interior wood-framed partitions with gypsum board finish, preparing and painting interior and exterior substrates, providing lineolum flooring, providing elevator, providing restrooms and shower, providing mechanical system, electrical, plumbing, and fire-suppression and fire-alarm systems, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.

Electronic Contract Documents may be obtained after Monday, October 7, 2024, from the Architect, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contact Matthew Scheidt at (518) 375-1485 or mscheidt@trw-arch.com.

Contract Documents may be examined by appointment only, in the office of the Architect, located at 25 Monroe Street Suite 202, Albany, NY 12210, (518) 375-1485.

Pre-Bid walk-throughs will be held at the Project Site, 48 Hudson Avenue, Albany, NY 12207, by appointment. Contact Matthew Scheidt at (518) 375-1485 or mscheidt@trw-arch.com.

Prospective bidders may request clarifications of the Bid Documents from the Architect by contacting Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture and Preservation, LLP, by e-mail to mscheidt@trw-arch.com . All questions must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. All e-mails must have subject line "48 Hudson Phase IV".

No bidder may withdraw its bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.

The rehabilitation work on the Van Ostrande-Radliff House is funded in part by a grant from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) inclusion is required, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
