If you’re a resident of Albany chances are you’ve seen more than a few houses displaying the ‘Red X’, but do you know the story
behind these signs and what they actually mean? Join us at the APL branch of North Albany accompanied by Rick LaJoy
(Director of Buildings & Regulatory Compliance, City of Albany), Albany County Land Bank and other experts to discuss what the Red X’s are, why they’re there, and what the future holds for ‘Xed’ buildings. If you have questions about the Red X’s, join us to get the answers.
Weds 6-7.30pm, North Albany Public Library
Online ticketing has now finished, however we welcome walk-ins! We will be at the Elks Club from 11am (25 S Allen St, Albany, NY 12208) selling tickets. This is also the ticket pick-up point.
On this #GivingTuesday please consider giving to Historic Albany Foundation! Facebook will match your donation on a first come, first served basis - every donation helps!
HAF's mission is to preserve and protect buildings that have architectural, historic or civic value by providing technical assistance, education, and advocacy.
Every dollar we raise on GivingTuesday will be donated to continuing that work.
Thank you for your continued support - and please consider sharing a post from our Facebook page so we can introduce new people to our cause.
