Washington Park Historic District
The plans for Washington Park were created in 1870, and it covers more than 80 acres in the heart of the city. It is the host of the Tulip Festival every year and was one of the first properties in Albany to be listed on the National Register in 1972. The architecture around the park dates from the mid-19th Century to the early 20th and has been home to many prominent 'Albanites' throughout its history including Governor Martin Glynn and industrialist Anthony N. Brady.
