We have a whole variety of programs and events running throughout the year. Keep you eyes on our Facebook and be sure to join our mailing list below.

Book Club

After the phenomenal success of last year’s Moby Dick Book Club, Historic Albany Foundation is once again partnering with Discover Albany and the New York State Writers Institute to offer an Albany-connected Book Club.

For 2020 we met virtually to discuss ‘The Turn of the Screw’ by Henry James. This canonical piece of Gothic literature was explored over 3 meetings and had a wonderful time even though we couldn’t meet in person. These were free events, and we want to thank our speakers (Krysta Dennis and Lara Whelan with each session being led once again by the wonderful Maeve Mceneny.) and attendees for giving us their time and support.

Red X Roundtable

After the success of our first Red X Roundtable last winter, we wanted to continue to build on the great conversations we had.

The next round table will be focused on solutions to the vacant house issues. Partnering once again with the Albany Public Library, we hope you can join us for a spirited debate!

This event was unfortunately postponed due to COVID-19
