Celebrate HAF's 50th Anniversary by joining City Historian Tony Opalka, tour guide Derek Baranski, and some of the neighborhood activists who were there in 1973 and 1974 when the historic area west of Swan Street was threatened with demolition and redevelopment. Hear about the beginning of the preservation movement in Albany that grew out of neighborhood associations with first-hand accounts and photos from those days. Retrace their steps and see some of the early causes they took up to preserve our historic city.
