Albany's Historic Water System

  • 89 Lexington Avenue Albany NY 12206 United States (map)

Providing clean water to an ever-changing, ever-growing city is a logistical challenge even in modern times, but what about the past? Join us as we take a 'deep-dive' into Albany's historic water and sewer system, joined by the best experts in the city: Commissioner of Water and Water Supply for the City of Albany, Joe Coffey and Deputy Commissioner Bill Simcoe.

Our guests will give a bit of history, as well as sharing anecdotes about some of their more interesting discoveries on the job. As many of us architecture fans know, old houses are full of unexpected surprises - so it seems are sewer and water pipes!

Be sure to tune in from 5.30pm on Zoom.
