89 Lexington Avenue Albany, NY 12206 ...or call 518.465.0876 x10 to process a credit card over the phone. Our
annual celebration of Albany’s historic architecture, great food, and
beautiful homes, A Moveable Feast, will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 6pm. A
Moveable Feast is Historic Albany Foundation’s most significant annual
fundraiser, which will support our ongoing work to provide technical
services to homeowners, to complete our multi-year program for
stabilizing St. Joseph’s Church and pursue new uses for this
magnificent 19th-century building, and to find caring owners for
Albany’s hundreds of abandoned and threatened buildings.
This year A Moveable Feast happens at the recently reopened Pine Hills Library. The Library is a wonderfully successful, second renovation of the 1930 brick Art Deco telephone building at 517 Western Avenue. As in years past, A Moveable Feast features fabulous cocktail and dessert receptions, and an exciting something-for-everyone silent auction. As always, guests will enjoy dinner at some of Albany’s most spectacular private homes. This year's event is especially exciting, with many new venues in the Pine Hills neighborhood! Information about this year's silent auction: We are asking your support for Historic Albany Foundation by contributing an item or gift certificate to the silent auction held during the receptions at A Moveable Feast. All donations are fully tax-deductible and you will receive acknowledgement of your gift for tax purposes from the Foundation. Click here to download the donation form. Your business will receive acknowledgement in the printed program and at the receptions where auction boards are displayed. We would be happy to place your brochures, business cards or other promotional materials adjacent to your board. A Moveable Feast attracts hundreds of guests from throughout the Capital Region. Some may already be your patrons, while others represent a new audience. This is an opportunity to build awareness of your business and simultaneously support historic preservation. We appreciate your consideration of our request. Your gift and promotional materials can be mailed to the HAF office to the attention of Jackie Burton, or we will make arrangements for your contribution to be picked up at your location. If you have questions or need more information, you can call Holly Katz at 364-5558, call or email Jackie at 465-0876, ext. 10, or email jburton[at]historic-albany[dot]org .
